Ride to Rishikesh

So, the `HIGHWAY PLAYERS` started their journey on 28th October 2017, @04:00AM from Akshardham Temple. It was dense dark & foggy but our enthusiasm got us rolling without bothering about the weather, we head straight to our destination i.e. RISHIKESH...

Finally, we began our journey after praying for the well being of all our crew members...

`Roll on guyz- Roll on` was all what we were feeling and encouraging each other for. Beating the cold with our heat & passion of riding...

We took our first hault for morning tea with our group members as by then all of us has started feeling the temperature drop so we all decided to add more layers to our clothes. And quickly after that we again started our trip so as to reach our destination right in time...

With the moving traffic and in the midst of the hustle bustle of the city life we were steadily moving towards our destination. With the roaring sounds of our beasts we were able to capture the attention of the onlookers and everyone was looking at us with gloomy eyes, this was a sheer feeling of proud which I could feel being associated with a reputed group...

We were welcomed by loud applauds, cheerz and hootings from the nearby masses as we reached ROORKEE BORDER around 8am. We had our traditional Punjabi breakfast - aloo pyaaz k parathe, dahi, with a generous dollop of amul ka makhkhan , chaar, tea & coffee. Right after our heavy brkfast we were all charged up roll the wheels again.

We reached our destination @1:30pm @Nature Villa in Rishikesh.

So finally we completed our road journey here and went to our dormitory where we shared 2 dormitories each having 8 of our grou members. We were ready with our checklist and to began with we started of by trekking. With all.our adraline rushing we reached NEER WATERFALL for trekking.

It is one hell of a jorney to this place my friend, the roads were not properly maintained, rocks scattered here and there but, our bullet succumbed to all the ups and downs. We finally managed to reach uphill and soon after we began our TREKKING.

WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE IT WAS!

no roads...       no stairs...       no path nothing...

The ambiance was breathtaking, being surrounded by nothing but greenery and mountains. We were walking on the rocky surface accompanied by the holy GANGES singing. A melodious tune. After 5-8 kms we reached NEER WATERFALL, where we all enjoyed taking a dip in the holy water.

We had all the masti we can ever think off :). Nothing better than ending your day with a sip of tea sitting at the banks of Ganga. Trust me it is mesmerizing. Soon we were called for dinner and we ended our day with a scrumptious meal.

Day 2: Early mrng, RAFTING

We started our day at 7am sharp, had our tea + brkfast and moved to @8am for MARINE DRIVE...

We were 15 members out there so we shared 2 jeeps and went there wid many twists and turns on the route. 29th october 2017 morning it was around 8.30-8.45am with freezing temperature outside.

And we got ready by wearing helmets and life jackets & then moved down to MARINE DRIVE where we started our RAFTING which was about 26kms in distance. All were in notty mood and got the instructions from our respective guides when to peddal forward /backward or when to stop. So, there were 14-15 rapids we will have to survive in that rafting. We were curious to know about them and were ready to face with a little fear in heart.

So we kept on moving our rapids came and went off we got disbalanced, we fell off in the river but with the support of all we managed to get back in and let others in too. Clicked photographs made videos.

FINALLY WE ENDED 1 MORE ADVENTUROUS ACTIVITY WITH LOTS OF MASTI & HAPPINESS.

And returned back to our villa in single auto (all of the 15 members) where we had our lunch and started our journey back to DELHI. BACK TO PAVILLION...
